Tip for beginners to PCSX2 (I don't know how other emulators work): You can swap between the PAL BIOS and the NTSC BIOS from the PCSX2 BIOS screen. You would want to do this if you have found a torrent/game CD that is only one or the other.

7zip renames this file to a ".7z"-file...i guess thats why this doesn't work for some of you..
Tried uninstalling 7-zip, still "no valid bios file"..

works perfectly fine, unrar, you get a folder called ps2 bios, move the files not the folder to the "bios" folder in pcsx2 and will work

To everyone with problems:
The reason PSCX2 won't pick these files up, is because it is looking for them in my documents.
If you move the bios to the folder there it should work fine.

ok i figured out why some can open it while others can't, this is a 7z file some of you cannot open 7z files so download something so that you can and then extract the folder into your pcsx2 folder then tell pcsx2 to search there for the bios it should give you 3 choices from there, obviously if you're reading this you want the united states version because it has it in english good luck folks!

thanks for these. to anyone having issues using these with an emulator like pcsx2, simply unzip, go into the folder with the files, cut them, and paste them in the bios directory of pcsx2.

In case that anyone still didn't figure out what to do with the files. This is what you do:
1.) You extract the files from the .zip folder (if it's a winrar archive, then extract them from there)
2.) You go to the Pcsx2 BIOS folder (If you install the emulator for the first time, then it will ask you to pick the bios, and it will show you where the folder is located).
3.) Now you simply move the BIOS files from one folder to the BIOS folder. Now the folder, archive or anything, just the files.
4.) You click "Actualize" or whatever the button says and it should list the BIOS and the continent/countries (Europe, America and Asia [or Japan])
That's it. If you still have problems or still can't figure out what to do, then you're a fucking retard.
