If you're trying to use a gamepad or joystick on your PC Alan, look for a program called Xpadder. It's a program that makes your gamepad or joystick emulate your mouse and some keystrokes.

WTF, guys, this IS an emulator. It's MAME, emulating NEO GEO. It's just set up and packaged with an installer so you don't have to actually take 5 minutes of your life and learn how to do it yourself.

Seriously, I've been trying to get any Neogeo-game to run for two days now, fumbling around with MAME and Nebula in several versions and loading down countless zip-files with hopefully the 'right' bios-version etc. ..., it was like searching for the needle in the haystack !!! And still nothing would work...!!!
And now comes your download and everything is just sooo easy - and just workin like a charme....!

Finally got it running no thanks to uploader.
Package is sloppily put together...config is totally fucked...game doesn't recognize an Xbox 360 controller...
It's really sad to see something this shitty at the top of the Metal Slug download list :(
Oh, and you should still put up a guide on how to get this clusterfuck of a program to respond correctly...you know...for the 3rd world countries that have to make do with sub-par programs like this.

Has Metal Slug 1-6, installs quick, and a much more user friendly interface. And guess what? NO FUCKING COMMAND LINE DRIVEN INTERFACE

I dont see why people are saying this one hard to run.
the torrent is fast (I am downloading in 2014) and the file is just 230mb and it works perfectly fine.
All you need to do is to install the thing with just one click, then select the series you wanna play in window menu then your are in the game already. since i dont use controller i dont encounter any problem, but i guess for those who use, they should open the game with the program in "controller enabled" folder in the window menu,
to change the keyboard control, you just need to press TAB in game and change P1 and P2 LEFT RIGHT UP DOWN, BOTTON 1-3
just the game run like the arcade machine, you need to insert coin to start the game or getting revived by pressing 5 or 6 or 7 or 8, then select P1 P2 by pressing 1 and 2
It's still simple!!!
