but...
i can only get the japanese(?) audio, how do i get the english audio track? what player should i use? i have tried vlc, showtime and power dvd, no luck with the audio anywhere

in the audio track menu of VLC player it shows only:
Disable
Track 1 - [English]
but it's not english, it's japanese and the video wont display properly
the only player which plays this properly is power dvd 7, but, as i say it's with japanese audio ONLY and no option for another audio track.
has anyone had any other result with this download?

when using k-lite codec pack and windows media player i haven't experienced any issues. great quality and great up. thx.

I managed to get the English Audio working - I used TS Remuxer to convert it into Bluray file structure, then I used BD Rebuilder to shrink the file so that it can fit onto a writable 25GB bluray disc and burnt the image using ImageBurn.
I then used Corel WinDVD Pro 2010 to play the bluray disc and it automatically picked up on the English DTS HD audio and the japenese audio is secondary, hence it was playing the original sound like the original film is in.
