'terrible' is subjective, but i wouldnt call it 'normal quality'.i find this to be completely unlistenable on my big sound system or headphones, but perfectly fine in the car where the road washes out some of the sound anyway.
btw, it is 128kbps {a little too low for mp3s, but not awful}. however, this doesnt magically make it sound ok. most of it sounds muddied and muffled.
