I trust that you all know the game so here are some things that you must read. - Just for a start, This is the PC version, and you don't need to be online while running the game. - for those who ask for the difference between ultima and original: I don't really know. all i know is that this one looks the same as the one in playstation and it is full (with sounds and cut scenes) Recovery Record (3%) is included in case you need to repair a corrupt download Smile Here are some tips for running the game: This game is XP/Vista ready so just download, extract, install, and play (please don't install the xp patch that i included as you don't need it) Official Patch: I included an official patch but most people don't have to use it. If you have problem with the game (some minor glitches), you can try installing the official patch. Note that you will have to mount the Fake ISO using a virtual cd program to get the game to work after applying the official patch or you will get "insert disk error". The fake ISO is in the goodies folder in the installation directory. Keyboard Patch: If you are playing in a labtop, you will probably need to apply the keyboard patch which you can find in the install folder under goodiees, official patches. just put the small file in the main directory of the game. (check the old post in the bin for more info or ask).Here is how: go to the installation folder (usually, C:program files FFVII ) and check the folder goodies. There you should find a rar file named "official patches" extract it. inside it, there is a rar file named "keyboard patch" extract it. and copy the extracted file to the installation directory (same directory besides exe of the game). If you get a black screen (no movies) or crash at startup: New Info: Thanks to beercan Quote: For those who are having the issue of the game crashing upon startup, and displaying the "FF7 has encountered an error" message, try this: If you have uninstalled the Klite codec pack, reinstall it. (Uninstalling it will not have removed the ffdshow option so windows is remembering the ffdshow option is turned on.) As it finalises install, you get the option to configure the ffdshow video. Choose directshow on the left and there is a drop-down option called "multiple ffdshow instances". Choose "none (disabled)". Apply and ok, and the install will complete. To solve it, just copy the original ff7.exe and the graphic file exe from the goodies folder to the installation directory and mount the fake iso. It should work. I need confermation from people that are having this problem, thx Battle is too fast if the speed in the battles is unusual try turning the "frame skip" in the setting off. I had the same thing with the install, the file process get's picked up as a trojan and tries to connect to somewhere, ending it seems to be ok though

Oh, my bad.. I didn't see TonightsLastSong's sollution to this problem.
Just like he said, I finished the file.exe process, and voila!
Oh, and if you extracted the bin. files and the setup from the ISO, you might discover at the start of the setup that a request for Setup-1(.bin). To get past that obstacle, simply enter the directory of your Setup-1.bin and setup-2.bin.
Hope that clears up something :)

You can also use a program like undisker to exstract the iso file on your computer instead of burning it, just wanted to mention it

Thanks alot for uploading this torrent, but im having trouble getting the game to work. when i try to play the game, it shows the opening video and then the screen just goes black. Anyone know a solution for this?

The torrent works great. At first the setup wouldnt start but like TonightsLastSong said all you have to do is end the File.exe process in the task manager. Also after a couple of minutes after loading the game the music stops, but i can hear the sfx just fine. If anyone knows how to fix this that would be great. Again great torrent and Thanks!

I have some problems installing this game
first I've extracted the file
after I've done that, I have 4 files (xp-patch, setup.exe and 2 bin files named setup-1 and setup-2)
If I open setup.exe, nothing happens, just like the people before me said
if I try to mount setup-1, it sais the file format is invalid or unsupported
the same happens for setup-2
for some strange reason, suddenly the setup opens without me doing anything and it asks me for the cd
the problem is I can't select the setup-1 bin file cause it's not mounted but mounting the file gives me the error
don't really know what I should do now
ps: my virusscan did say there were some infected files and he deleted them
I'll try again unpacking the file with my anti-virus disabled
I let you know if that works but if someone can help me

Hey, I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and/or if anyone had a solution for me. For the movies, whenever it gets to a cut-scene, the characters seemed to stay where they last were, and the movies would move behind them. Normally, that's not an issue for me, as I just work around it.
But now, when it comes to the one cut-scene in the tower/observatory, of the galaxy, the game pretty much stops/freezes as soon as I move through the black hole. Nothing moves, and I can't continue the game. Essentially, I'm stuck there. Can anyone help me out with this?

but I am having a similar problem but couldn't find the solution here. I have everything up and running on my screen, then right after the Final Fantasy VII logo appears and the train tracks start going. My game screen drops to the program bar and it tells me a I got a virus and tries to run the setup again. I can then open the game back up and hear everything that is happening but with no image, but within another minute or so I get another virus......helppppp please.

Well, I can run the game without any problems. But in the configuration utility it fails in the 8-bit palette and I can't run the game in Hardware acceleration mode! And I'm guessing that is what causes the graphics on the characters to look so strange (low resolution or something like that). I've got Windows XP sp2. I've tried to make the patches work but they don't, even though I put the image files into Deamon tools!
Please, is there anything I can do to make this work! I once played the game (the exact same download) on my older pc with Windows XP sp1, and there it worked perfecltly! What could be wrong??? I really need some help!!!

Hello guys, this is a very good torrent, everything okay and all.
I have one slight problem :(
When I start the game, I come to the screen with the sword and the option to press
New Game
or continue
when I press new game, nothing happens and the screen turns black.

When I i open the containing folder it doesnt give me the option to extract the data. If i try to open it it asks me what program to use. People be careful with this torrent, everytime i have downloaded it, i got a nasty virus that has forced me to wipe my drives. it sucks so be very careful with this one. It only seems to happen when you extract the data.

This seems to be the same description copy and pasted across the Internet. I've Googled my problem and seen it on 4 different sites. My problem is that the battles are too fast. Your answer is to turn on the frame skip. That's what I intended to do in the first place EXCEPT THERE IS NONE! There is no graphic options in game and there is no frame skip option in the configurator.
