a friend sent it to me.
steps to install(I've never done this before):
1: unrar and install mapsource
2: find unlocking tool like jetmouse 1.5
3: enter map ID 450 under custom maps
4: enter your unit ID and hit generate key
5: take key and copy into box on mapsource under Utilites. It is the second tab. (took me a while to figure this out) Unlock Regions. Click add and just put the code in the box.
6: run mapinstall and click on all the areas you want installed.

Strange naming for this torrent!
Garmin MapSource is currently at version 6.15.4.
On the other hand there's Garmin map products like "City Navigator® Europe NT 2010.10" & "City Navigator® North America NT 2010.10".
If you click the "Files: 1" number it only indicates the file "garmin.rar" 1.05 GiB.
WTF :(

guys,
i have Garmin Nüvi 250 with a map of Europe. I need somehow to install the one of USA. Am I on the right page?
I have already tried this but could not figure it out. I downloaded JetMouse from 2 different sources but both has only North America 2009 but not 2010. How can i get North America (dont care about the version so much) downloaded on my GPS?

There is an easier way to do this. Just search for "City Navigator® North America NT 2010.10".
There are many out there and most have ALL the progs. you will need to update , unlock and transfer to you garmin device. Many also include mobile phones as well.
This is just one of them.
Some others are called mapsource north america 2010.
This is the one I used and it worked perfectly. A little complicated to install and unlock but well worth the effort.
