This is a collection of essential Mac OS X 10.5 software/DMG\\\'s for a new system/reinstall. I\\\'m uploading this for a friend but figured I might as well release it to the world. I will try and seed 24/7 but there will be interruptions, but that just gives everyone a chance to fix up their ratio. Torrents and FTP are completly different dude, i've got an ftp server (asphyxia8489.net) and i've got a fuck load of upload bandwidth, but torrents are far better for seeding to the masses than a FTP server. After all if we do the math on this with the current 184 seeders that'd be 2.76 TB of data seeded over an FTP, where as over a torrent network i'd only have to seed around 50GB before the torrent became self-sufficient.

what you dont seam to understand is that this torrent isnt for people that already have the applications and need cracks for them, after all, cracks blow. All of these applications install and run without cracks.
This torrent is for somebody thats planning to reformat their Mac or has just purchased a new Mac and thus wouldnt already have the applications handy.

Nah, like I said in the description i'm going to need to take some seeding breaks. Four reasons for this:
1)Over 20% of the people i'm connected to right now are using fake torrent clients and are not seeding squat.
2) I've already uploaded 25GB of Data
3) I've just moved house and am still trying to get a map in my head of the different upload speeds at different times.
4) College during the day and I need to take my MacBook in for a Project
All I can recommend to everyone is that they seed as much as possible so in the long run i'll have less to seed and you'll all finish sooner.
Once again sorry for the delays but this is the best I can do.

If this happens to you - to get new keys.rtf simply download Mac Essentials on another computer. It was the first thing to download for me and then I scrapped any further downloading. Since I am new at this, I am not sure whether I succeeded in setting Azureus to download keys.rtf first but it actually did. Then I was able to place an uncorrupted version on my original computer into the torrent that I am now seeding. Thanks for seeding this Asphyxia8489. I am scanning some 50 yr old slides and I needed the Adobe Design for a one time use with an Intel Mac. You really saved me. You also made it easy for me to recover some of my software stolen from my office.

when file corruption happens you can simply right click the torrent in question and chose "Force Recheck" and that will find damaged pieces of data and re-download working versions. It should have done it automatically if you're using the latest version of Azureus but whatever. Glad I could help.

Downloading with limewire will effect your download speeds because it's a crap torrent client and wont support encrypted streams.

Torrent Clients have the ability to chose what you download, and if you cant, you're obviously using the wrong client.
Transmission is the client i'd recommend for you.

No, you cant burn this into a single layer dvd without causing some minor issues with Leopard in the long run. Your best bet is to "burn" it onto a external hard drive or iPod (firewire for G4-G5, USB for Intel) using the restore feature in Disk Utility. Then press and hold the Option key while the system is booting to boot from the disk image.

I've downloaded all files.
I have restored the leopard dmg to my external firewire drive.
But when I restart and hold the option key it only gives me my normal macintosh hd to boot from.
Am I doing something hideously obviously wrong?

Make sure that it's the only partition on the external firewire device, if that dosnt work, try restoring the image again.
Google around, you'll find a guide really easily.

Did anyone else have any problems with the Office 2008 download- specifically with word not opening? I tried an uninstall and reinstall, but alas, same issue.
