Find a disk or DL a copy of an OS
Start from the OS
use the new OS/and only start the install
one started up from the install "disk"
go to disk utility
and change the password

Before I mess up my phone, I thought i would ask a quick question.
I am currently on att, but will be going to australia soon and want to use my iphone there. when i unlock do i need to have the SIM from OZ or can i do it with my att sim then just swap when i get there? do i need to 'hot swap' if i don't? when asked about activation during the file creation do i say yes or no since i plan on using it in a non-legit situation.

tommy21: say you're illegit/illegal. (Otherwise, your phone 'll be jailbroken but not unlocked, so you won't be able to use it on another carrier. It's fine to jailbreak/unlock it with the att chip in it.
Oh, and I was sloppy; I was comparing SHA sums with md5 sums.
