Hi nrmsmith,
Go to the directory where you installed PowerDVD 8 and open the Config directory.
Copy 006.fcl to your Desktop, rename it to PowerDVD8.sim and copy it to your PowerDVD 8 directory (overwrite it).
Now open PowerDVD and activate it with your upgrade Key. :)

@ niffenaff: It removes the Startup entries from PDVD8LanguageShortcut and RemoteControl8, first you should get a question box: "Are you sure you want to add ...", click on Yes, then you should get a conformation message: "Information in ... into the registry."

I felt compelled to register just to write this.
Ever since getting the PDVD7 preactived, it's the only kind I been looking for since. Very nicely packed, no junk or annoyance.
Wanted to say, THX U, especailly for this preactivated version 8 and the extra skin (I thought the default skin looks kinda crappy compared to the nice blue.)
Keep it up, because your versions are the only one I forward to. It was sleek of you to pack it the way it is, especially in a single file. Less mess.
This is a 10/10. Works like a charm, tested and better than the others out there that I've tried. Crack works fine, a extra nice skin to boost.

There is no cracking to begin with because it's already activated. None of that annoying popup and other nuisance.

I'm so glad you're enjoying your new software, but here's the way torrents work: You get file, you love file, you seed torrent so said torrent gains excellent health while viral torrents gain bad reputations.
