Forget about the dark spots in the quality. It's not the rip job, it's the movie itself. The director had a good story and some great visual effects, but they simple forgot to turn on the damn lights! The DVD version is just as bad. Simply put the director of this movie knows nothing about the proper way to light a scene while filming. Half of the movie is spent in poorly lit rooms and dark outdoor scenes. Aliens (Alien 2) wasn't set in a "sunny daylight" place yet James Cameron (the director) knows how to light the scene...lighting is key! I think the poor lighting is why this movie did so poorly at the box office...save your bandwidth, don't bother downloading any of the full DVD rips, it ain't worth it.
