Blacks Law Dictionary Second Edition Searchable

I took the individual files for each page, posted by the other generous donor here on PirateBay, and combined them into a pdf, and made it text searchable. This is the 1910 version but still very handy to use today, and sure beats paying $200 for a new one. This is an interesting book to read and has all the legal words I would have been hung up on being a pro se family court litigant. Thank you to whoever took the many hours needed to scan this whole thing. That was not me. I did the easy thing using a handy program I also found on PirateBay.

Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended - is used to create the pdf. it has the feature "recognize text using OCR" short for optical character recognition, which can turn a photograph of text into text that can be highlighted for copy/paste or for finding words using search. Before running the OCR program, I first selected all the individual files that made up the pages and used Acrobat to combine them into a single pdf. The other post of this had a pretty nice index, but did not include all the words, and then could not copy paste from it.

Hi jsweet777, I just found your work today and realized that it was based on my upload. :) It must have been a pain putting this together. Nicely done and thanks alot, this is much easier to use and store.
