I get problems in both VLC and MPC. Different symptoms, so I'm uncertain what the problem may be. In VLC, it sounds like everyone is speaking slowly. But video sync is correct, so it can't be just audio doing it. In MPC, the audio sounds bad, and is only the left channel. :(
