All right, I knew going in that Sci-Fi Channel movies are usually fairly terrible to watch but can sometimes be fun if you don't have anything else to do one night. So, I tuned into Fire and Ice when it aired this week. I have to say, it was a pretty bad movie, but not for the poor acting and second rate special effects. The thing is, the movie is just horribly boring. The dragons only pop in from time to time, and even though they are interestingly designed, are about as lifeless as any CGI creation can get. The action scenes lack spirit and life. Over the past six or seven years, Sci-Fi has made a number of dragon based films, such as Dragon Sword, Dragon Dynasty, Dragon Storm, and Dragon Fighter. As bad as they were, they had spirit and were entertaining to watch. Pitof, the director of this movie, also made Catwoman and Alien Resurrection.
