OK. The only game that's going to work right away is Pong. The person who saved this torrent apparently spoke spanish and kept his roms on an external drive. First thing to do is find Mame32's executable and open it. Then select Options>Directories from the menu bar. Change the Roms directory to wherever you want to keep your ROM files and you should be able to run some games now. I'll give some more tips as I figure things out.

One reason someone might use stupid rar files: The Pirate Bay has an upload limit of 1000 files per torrent.
If you want to upload a torrent that has more than 1000 files, one of your options would be to rar or zip the files.
Anyway, you're getting this stuff for free so stop whining.

Shit torrent. Every fucking game inside is zipped in it's own .zip. All 3,500 of them. Do you seriously expect me to sit here and unzip every goddamn game? It would take DAYS.
Not to mention, I've tried roughly 20 of them, and they are all missing files. Galaga, Gun & Frontier, City Bomber, just to name a few. Every single game I've tried, MAME can't run it because it's missing files.

If you can't be bothered to learn even a little bit, then don't play the game!
Simples.
What do we have here? You have 3600 ROMS. Plus, you have the emulator software.
Each of the games come in a zip file. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BET HIS WAY, AND THERE IS NO NEED TO UNZIP EACH FILE!!!!!
Just leave it as it is.
Get this RAR, and then unpack.
Go into the emulator and edit OPTIONS - GAME DIRECTORIES.
Enter the path to the ROMS folder.
Press F5 in the emulator.
It'll take a bit of time to update, but in the end you should end up with 2600 or so games playable.
THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE TORRENT, BUT IT'S SIMPLY AN ISSUE WITH MAME.
If 2600 games isn't enough for you, then go f*** yourself.

Well ,I finally got it to work.
I took the roms from
c:\blahblahblah\MAME (Emulator + 3500 roms)\
MAME\roms
and put them in
....\MAME (Emulator + 3500 roms)\MAME\MAME32 plus 0.83\roms
and from the options menu reset to default,
all fields checked.
Otherwise the emulator wouldn't see the path to the roms no f!@# way.
On win7 x64.

Thanks for the torrent it works great, i have a question... i want to delete the older games like Galaxy.. and is it possible to transfer the roms to the latest version of mame.. i tryed but half of them wont work.. like Bobble Bobble, King of fighters.. and some others.. whats the problem.. please someone help me and tell me some good newer version of mame Emu, that can read these roms.

Great torrent. This torrent does not contains a rat, you do not need Kawaks anyways. Only a 15% of the roms don't work. Recommended to use MAME32 Plus+, already

@ Shitpoop: Dude you dont unzip all the rar files, they are supposed to remain zipped, you just put them in a folder, and when you run Mame32.exe go to options > Directories and set the directory of that folder where your all those RAR files are (those are the ROMS)

Its a bit more complicated than you all might think. Actually a lot more complicated. If you have the older version of the emulator, it will be able to read older roms, but if you download a newer version of the emulator, it will be able to read the newer roms, but not the older ones. So if you update the emulator, you will have to update the roms too, and the easiest way to do that is via a program called CLRMAMEPRO. The program is not easy to understand and handle, but its the easiest way compared to other ways to update roms (downloading newer versions of every single rom of all the 3500). So if you have a set of roms like this one, google CLRMAMEPRO, and update them with it (you may want to watch some tutorials on how to update roms with CLRMAMEPRO). What i cant figure out is how to update individual roms for a newer version of the emulator. for example, i have downloaded only 21 of my favorite games (like dungeons & dragons, captain commando, pigskin...) and i dont want to download the whole set of 3500 roms only for those 21. I couldnt update them with CLRMAMEPRO, maybe because in the tutorials it says that i must have the full set... If anyone has an idea, im more than happy to hear it

Baixei,mais não consigo jogar,eu só achei o aplicativo mame 32 plus e quando inicio ,só aparece o jogo pong,e nem este é jogável. Ja apertei f5 e nada emfim ,baixei este para jogar o clássico jogo VIOLENT STORM,que sempre gostei de jogar quando criança,e ainda ñ consegui executar este jogo. Uso o windows 8,que poder me passar passo a passo,estarei muito grato.
