MEDIEVIL 2: Medievil 2 takes place hundreds of years after Medievil, and finds Dan in the Victorian-era London. The evil Lord Palethorn has begun assembling an undead army in order to take over the world. You, as Dan, have decided to bring it on yourself to save the world from Lord Palethorn. You won't be all alone however, as you have friends in the form of a mad professor, a female Egyptian mummy, and a friendly ghost, all of which will provide you with help throughout the game. Your arsenal ranges from swords to muskets, and if you defeat enough enemies on each level, you'll unlock its Chalice of Souls. This is where you can acquire special items that will make your job much easier. An interesting wrinkle in the sequel is that you can now play as Sir Dan's disembodied head, which allows you access to areas that you might not be able to access as big Dan. Gameplay is a mixture of platform-jumping, puzzle-solving and good old-hack and-slash action.
