Guitarist Wolf Hoffman, best known for his work with the metal band Accept, released the solo project CLASSICAL, an album of instrumental classical pieces. Hoffmann's approach to well-known compositions like "Pomp & Circumstance" and "Bolero" is technically impressive and doesn't skimp on the distortion. European edition of solo album by the former Accept guitarist, the album is instrumental covers of classic tracks, all done in Hoffman's signature heavy metal manner. 11 tracks, including 'Pomp & Circumstance', 'In The Hall Of The Mountain King' and 'Bolero'. Some info about two of the tracks on this album:
The original norwegian title of "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" is "I Dovregubbens Hall", this and "Solveig's Song" was composed by Edvard Grieg to be used in the play "Peer Gynt" by the norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. Several bands have made versions of "In The Hall Of The Mountain King/I Dovregubbens Hall", you can find a list here:
