This movie started off with a lot of potential, concidering the anormity of the original series. With this movie, that hope was shoved into a trash bag and beaten with a lead pipe, whats left is this movie. This was a horrible script, had barily anything to do with "real pheonmena" (more like a medical mystery/thriller), and it trashed the previously good acting reputation of David Ducubny and his co-star.

If you've watched most of the X-File series this movie does go with the series. The movie is slow but it's also fairly good. A typical X-Files plot with a nicely developed theme a true X-Files fan can appreciate. Someone who knows nothing of the series watched it with me and also enjoyed it so it seems to be fairly well rounded. Nothing amazing but not terrible by any means.

I loved the X-Files series. This movie was a waste of time. I would have been better off watching a re-run of a decent episode. There was nothing intriguing about this movie and it left several questions unanswered and has plenty of "pot holes". The only people that will like this movie are the ones that think Chris Carter can do no wrong. Kind of like Star Wars fans that refuse to accept the last three installments are crap.

I'm a series-long fan of the x-files, always loved it but this film is dire as hell. Even if you divorce it from the x-files and treat it as a one-off film in it's own right it (which it should be as it draws on NOTHING of note from the series whatsoever) it's still a dire film that would probably end up going straight to dvd and the reduced bin. The lead characters must have known how devoid of plot and substance this film was while making it and therefore I can only assume they are sick of the franchise and want it to end. It's a sad way for it to finally close though, the series itself was revolutionary and awesome. RIP x-files.

Wow, this movie blows. It makes the first movie (which also sucked) look brilliant in comparison. If this was an episode, it would be one of the worst episodes. IM sure if you were a fan of the series you will want to watch this just to be sure, but to anyone else just looking for something to watch, Full House reruns are better than this, even if you are in your 60's.

I loved this movie. I did spend my 10 bucks to see it in the theater. And when I can I'll buy the DVD. Sure, there are some things I didn't like about it, but truth be told I wasn't excited about it because of the plot, it was more for the Mulder/Scully interaction.
