portables are full versions of the software. That said, some portables are a lot better then others. This version is not the extended version, but it is extremely well done. As is STEALTH's other CS4 portable Flash.
What makes STEALTH's versions great is the fact that they stand totally alone and truly portable. Some of the other CS4 portables I have played around with have extra files, which is no big deal ... but at least one of them ends up telling me I have an invalid serial number (not a big deal because it still worked, but...)
But what made my hair stand on end was choosing to browse in bridge and it worked (I didnt download bridge or have it installed in anyway other then this portable). Only one other portable worked with bridge and that one had bridge as a seperate part of the portable package... STEALTH definately pays attention to details and it shows.
Which is why I hope he chooses to do a few more CS4 apps before moving on to new territory. Illustrator and Dreamweaver being the two I would love to see most, in that order (HINT) :P

FYI, There are solid copies of office 2k7 and 2k3, so don't waste your time doing what's already been done.
Personally, I find the most useful apps are the ones that if installed take over your computer or have tons of megs of worthless crap.
The office 2k3 I have is 160mb. It opens from my key in about 3 seconds and it's the entire suite. To uninstall, click on exit and it's gone. The 2k7 version takes about 12+ seconds to launch and is twice as big.
An adobe cs flash would be interesting.

As a struggling designer who's annoyed about how a reliance on, often prohibitively expensive, closed-source proprietary programs like PS seems to be perpetuated, it's nice to have these kinds of options. In some cases, it's not always easy or possible to go open source. So thanks!
BTW, once upon a long time ago, I bought Illustrator and lost my serial and receipt and Adobe refused to issue me a replacement and I lost a contract as a result. :\

disable Norton since it's probably blocking the application from loading, it's most likely a false positive, and it should work perfectly.
