Midnight at the Barrelhouse contains 125 sides, nearly six hours spread out over five CDs, of vintage West Coast RB. These remastered tracks from the '40s and '50s include several from Johnny Otis, Little Esther, Mel Lewis, and the Robins amongst numerous others. Since JSP is a quality budget label, this is a good set to start with if you have any interest in classic West Coast RB but aren't sure where to start.
