ExeScript.v3.0 ExeScript is a program that converts batch files (.bat), VBScript, JavaScript, WSF, WSH and HTA scripts to executable files (.exe) in less than 30 seconds. It also protects contents of bat, .vbs, .js, .wsf, .wsh and .hta files from being changed by other users accidentally or intentionally. In addition, ExeScript hides contents of these files, so they cannot be viewed. My virus software says this is a virus. Would really like to get this software, but I do not want to take the risk. Thoughts?

Well this is definitely not a virus, but it is the unregistered version of the software. You can get this version online for free already from the publisher. In the unregistered version (this version), you get an annoying popup message every time you run an exe file that you converted with it.
