The problem with poi-search is in the branding.zip file.
There is in the branding.zip an \iu_igo8\common\ui\poi.ui script.
This is a modified file. The default poi search distance only 300km, it's increased to 5000km.
Solution:
ad1:delete the poi.ui file in branding.zip file (the data.zip file also contain an other poi.ui. the searching distance remains only 300 km).
ad2:replace the branding.zip from previous version.
ad3:modify the data.zip\ui_igo8\common\ui\poi.ui file.
this file contains nine "300000" notes.
Modify all 300000 notes to 5000000.

I have had problems with previous IGo releases on TyTN II after upgrading to WM6.1. I have discovered that the problem was related to the use of "Quick GPS" or what ever the utility was called.

Aldi: I have the same problem, starting up stucks at 'Initializing warning data'. I tried to clean up the sys.txt, even to copy it from my legal, updated iGO8, it didnt help.
uggenabben: I just installed WM6.1 Professional on my HTC TyTN II, the older version of iGO8 worked well.
I dont know whats going in with this version. Any ideas?

Okay, I found out what happened. 'Initializing warning data' - during this period of time speedcam data file is converted to a new format - this is why it stops here. Another thing: A-GPS should be turned off. Now it works for me.

kisretek: Yes, Assisted GPS (what you call A-GPS) must be turned off. That made it work for me!

This is a "hungarified" version of IGO 8.Just hungarian language, a few poi-s , no complete maps.The other "maps" torrent is without many information.
For non hungaric users, or users that wish more languages we will have to wait.
