Manhunter and Red Dragon are two separate movies, but they are based on the same book. Hence, same story, same movie. Yes, they are different, but it's up to you if you wanna watch it.

There have been five movies and one TV series made about Hannible Lecter so far.
The movies “Manhunter” and “Red Dragon” and the TV show “Hannibal” are all based on the book “Red Dragon”.
