Why do people say that this is a remake of the 1932 film. The first one is about Al Capone. This one is about cubans in Miami in the early 1980's. A remake implies a newer, updated version of the same story. The only similarities in these movies is the title, and the "organized crime" thing.

Not the full version. It says 170 minutes at the top but in the specs it says 2h 42m (162m). I've done a direct comparison and this is definitely "cut." The release does, in fact, come from a 'special edition' release, but it is not the full version.
