We "idiots" prefer -quality avi- because the files are a hell of a lot smaller and thus they download way faster.
Aside from that this most people in the world are still using 4:3 tube type televisions and monitors with resolutions below that of HD content.
Though yes DVD ISO files would give a slightly better image and a load of extra crap in essence thats not what people want to see specially not when downloading a 30 y/o movie.
The bigger question is not "am i a moron" for accepting this stuff and even loving it.
Or are you for insulting the very same people that make sure your able to download all you want without having to get off your lazy ass.

The first hour of it was really awesome, I loved it. After that I had to look it up on Wikipedia to see if it started off as a play. Seemed to go on for too long and made it lose all momentum and the dialogue and acting was kinda lame after the first time they show the new news show.
