I wish you hadn't included Alcohol. I'm sure nearly everybody on Piratebay already has their own preferred image mounting software, and especially so if they are downloading a patch for a game they already torrented.
Anyway, thanks. I'm yet to see if it works, I'll write another comment when its downloaded.

I downloaded this torrent and followed all of the instructions, but whenever I copy the .exe file and try to run it, my computer tells me the file can't be found or I don't have permission and then the .exe file disappears. Help??

The most this "fix" does is cause Sims2 to not run at all (Sim2 encountered an error, etc).
It's pointless. If your sims2 installation is b0rked, try a different release on tpb. But this fix is just a waste of time.
