the subtitle is embedded in the mp4 file. I use Media Player Classic. you can get the full k-lite codec pack with mpc here:

In MPC: Options->Playback->Output
In DirectShow Video section, choose either VMR9 or VMR7 to display the subtitles. you also might need to click File-> Load subtitle.
or if you have vobsub installed there might be an green arrow icon in the lower right corner next to the clock.right click it and choose S: English [English]
An easier way might be to get VLC player, right click in the display when watching, choose Video-> Subtitles Track-> Track 1 - [English]
