The new 2008 "Day. . .", which I just saw, is pure cgi crap, just a real mess. This one, 1951, is the one and only, even though it's b&w and less flashy. Is it so wrong that I actually like both films, the original and the remake? I mean, Keanu isn't the greatest actor ever by any stretch of the imagination, but I still thought the new movie was fun and interesting. Without it many people would never have gotten around to seeing the original one either, and I think that this film, like so many science fiction pieces has something important to say about our world. The remake makes some of that information more accessible to the masses. I don't know, maybe I'm just a media influenced cow, but that's how I choose to look at it.

Total classic. Don't bother with the crass 2008 piece of shit. That movie totally ignored the original premise of this wonderful film. I don't exagerate when I say the remake is the worst film ever made, and everyone involved should be drowned in a cesspit.

I was looking for the 2008 version, and was excited to find both. I like both. As for Keanu's acting.. well, Robert DeNiro is always Robert DeNiro. Sean Penn is always Sean Penn. Helen Hunt is always Helen Hunt. Bruce Willis is always Bruce Willis. Mel Gibson is always Mel Gibson. Sandra Bullock is always Sandra Bullock. Need I go on? Lighten up. There's no right or wrong when it comes to entertainment. Well.. mostly. Thanks Circlensess, for the upload of a great original classic.

calling this an axxo release is offending... but circlensess has been doing that for a while and people have gotten used to it. Axxo NEVER released this movie, and since that is the case all the people who have defended this purely because its "uploaded by axxo" are failers and ignorants. I hope you manage to get a little knowledge and learn how to use it cuz intelligence, you simply dont possess that.

This is vintage sci-fi brilliance.
You know what it doesn't have? Jaw-dropping special effects, although these are pretty good for the time. You know what it does have, though? A wonderful story told with sharp dialogue, outstanding acting and a premise that fills you with wonder. And - final question - you know what? That's what counts, not a bunch of computer effects that'll still look dated in a decade or two.
