Beyond Ambient

Ambient Dub was a phrase first coined by the now defunct Beyond record label from early 1990s in Birmingham, England. Their defining series of albums "Ambient Dub 1, 2, through to 4" inspired many, including sound engineer and producer Bill Laswell. I’ve taken the majority of the tracks from Beyon albums, the rest are from the same period,the early 90’s. This album still sounds as good today, no mean feet in the world of ‘progressive’ music The source was both CD and vinyl. Produced the needledrop using: Linn LP12, Lingo, Ekos and Dynavector XX2 moving coil cartridge. Via Naim 62 pre-amp. Into Pioneer PDR-609 CDR. Using TDK audio CDR.
