This is a great game. Too bad it gives you CRC error while installing the game.
No errors while downloading or unrarring but when you fire up the installer, after a while CRC error pops up.

Okay, for HAMACHI user - for this to work do the following:
#1 'Preferences'
#2 'Detailed configuration ..'
#3 Now set up both UDP and TCP ports to run through port 48000
#4 Remember to uncheck those two again when returning to other use, since it can make problems there instead.

I know that I will delete the archives once I unpacked them because they would be 4 GB of extra baggage on my HD because I am pretty tight on free space. This means I won't seed this after it finished, I would have if the torrent would consist of the image files.

This hacked version works perfectly for me (WinXP). Here is how to get it to work (or at least, how I did it and had absolutely no problems).
To Unrar:
Get WinRAR if you don't have it already. Go to their site to download a free trial version (http://www.rarlab.com/), or find a cracked copy here at TPB (oddly enough, most cracked copies are RAR'd, meaning you need WinRAR to unRAR the cracked WinRAR...so you may need the trial version just to unarchive the cracked version if you can't find an .exe version to start with).
1) Unrar by RIGHT CLICKING "flt-wic.001".
1a) then select "Open With..." and navigate to "WinRAR Archiver".
1b) It will proceed to unRAR just fine. I use WinRAR 3.70 beta.
2) Mount the created .iso file with Daemon Tools. I use v4.08HE, it works just fine.

3) The games "Install" option will pop up in its menu. You can try to install this way, but if it doesn't work, just open "My Computer", go to the mounted drive, and "Explore". Click the "Setup.exe." file to get started installing.
4) Go to "My Computer" and select the mounted drive, and open it with "Explore".
5) Open the "Fairlight" folder.
6) Copy the 3 files (wic.exe, wic_online.exe, wic_ds.exe) into the newly installed game folder "C:\Program Files\Sierra Entertainment\World in Conflict" (these files are the hacked files you need to run the game)
7) Click the hacked "wic.exe" file you just copied.
8) Have fun stompin' Russkies!
It's that simple and it works perfectly.

When you are going into multiplayer it's asking for a code. That's code working for that.

You misunderstand. You need TWO codes. When you register for MP, it asks you for the serial. You provided the serial.
The next screen, it asks you for an "Access Code". This code is different. Instead of a 5-field code, it requires a 3-field code. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Your code, is a 5-field. It's the serial code, but not the access code.

can someone tell me how to get Hamachi working in LAN mode? A buddy and I tried to start a game like you would do normally in Hamachi but we couldn't see each other. We tried other games we've played with no problems. Any ideas?

ok first time i opened settler's: rise of an empire i got to where i choose the knight for the mission, BAM blue screen bunch of writing, frozen....restarted comp and game (Duh) and i got to where i had to upgrade my wood house thingy, BAM froze in the middle of the game, restarted, this time i got to the second mission, BAM blue screen again....
Then i downloaded this, BAM blue screen as im panning down in training mode, restarted and i got a little further in training, but BAM blue screen with writing once i got control of the tank in training mode.
my comp isnt used to games on it, let alone pirated. (i got roller coaster tycoon 3, zoo tycoon 2, the sims 2 with expansion packs, the movies (bought), but those dont have as good as graphics as these. is this my computer jsut getting used to these games, is the palying time without freezing gonig to keep getting longer like how it is now? will it eventually stop freezing altogether.?

Cause much more people will seed, if they don't have to keep two versions of everything they download - The rar version and the unpacked version. While the job you're doing is great, that's really a thing that would make it even greater.

Hmm i've never really understood this downloading. I have a 2mbit upload and using bitlord. All things i used to tank gone so damn slow. But then i thought it could be depending on how many that seeded am i right? okay, So i took this game (Seems fun and says to be "580" seeders) But can someone tell me what this mean: Seed 7 / Peer 57 [All] 1216. Does that mean i am tanking from 7 seeders when theres a maximum of 1216? Its wicked... 4 kb/s out of 4 gig. Calculate that... Maybe a month of downloading. Is this cause of my Downloading program? Or what is it? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hey, I got a problem here that I've seen some guys write about.. but I actually havent seen any response, so I'm gonna trying it myself :P
I open the WiC-folder by rightclicking the E: folder. And then whenever I try to copy the crack and put it into the main folder it says - Cannot copy wic: Files on this cd rom drive are read-only. You cannot copy or move files to this cd rom drive. I've also tried to download it from certain internet pages, still says the same..
What am I doing wrong? Please help me :)

I did exactly as told using winrar 3.71 I right click on the flt-wic.001 and open with. it tells me its missing the flt-wic.001.r00. i checked the sfv file and it says all files are good and are there. So i havnt heard an explanation for this anyone know cause it seems some are extracting it just fine?

NOOB GUIDE TO INSTALL!!
first download the game :S
then open one of the all rar files!
and extract the thing in the map
and get deamon tools and open the file whit deamon tools and install will come up
then when your install is done go to your "computer" and open "world in conflict" and take the crack in the map and copy and past to the Wic map! done now play!

How do i open it? I have tried everything. Its just a file, and i can't open it. OK so i try mounting it in daemon tools. dont work. for too lasy to reed back i pst kingwolf's helping word from two pages behind:: heres what you have to do. To open it you will have to right click "flt-wic.001" file and click Open. it should either A) ask iif you want to use a website to open the program with or B) select a program from a list. Choose B. Now you will either have to find winrar in the programs list or it will automatically appear. choose it. now it should open up winrar. CLick the Extract button. Extract it to whatever it suggests. Then once its done extracting open the file and there should be an .iso image. if so then right click daemon tools and go to " Virtual CD/DVD ROM" move your mouse over it and then move your mouse over a device and hit mount image. A thing should pop up where you will have to find the folder containing the .iso image. open with the thing and presto! you can install the game =D

gaifboy! Sounds like a heating problem. After re-starting your machine go to BIOS by pressing DEL or F2 (or what it says to go to setup), and check there how high is your CPU's temperature. If it's too high maybe you have to use more fans in chassis or change your CPU's cooler.

Most standard integrated grafix cards are great for the screen savers and thats about it. Most modern games don't even want to boot with integrated grafixs and then have endless rendering problem if you actually manage to get in-game. If you are looking for a good series of grafix card I would advise Nvidia 6 series and up. the 6600GT and The 6800 gt/ultra are good cheap and reliable card for low level grafixs and would be perfect for a casual gamer. Please note how ever that with more powerful grafix card you need better power supplies and and you also need to ensure compatibility with the computer (Some generic cases are not big enough for some of the beefier card these days)

It's working fine now, i coulden't copy the files IN the map, but when i instead moved the whole map to C:/Programs/Sierra Entertainment/World in Conflict, it worked fine

Am I missing something?
Tried the cracks in the FairLight dir of .iso = game won't load.
Tried the cracks from gamecopyworld = game won't load.
Tried uninstalling, then re-installing with daemon tools set to securROM, running the game from virtual disk with securROM enabled = game won't load.
Tried above after applying the supplied cracks = game won't load.
Tried screaming really loud at the computer = yeah, like that was gonna help
...in other words, I have tried all I can think of, and taken all the advice given to others with issues running the game. My system has the required hardware, windows XP SP2, and DX9. (Is there any release of DX10 for XP?)
Should I just give up? Been doing this for years; wondering if there is something wrong with my box...wic.exe loads, takes memory, then drops off the list of running processes in TaskManager. What. The. Fuck. Help?

O.k. for ppl having trouble opening this archive.
I used some sort of weird file joiner, and got one big file with no extension, don't do this.
Open the file with the .001 extension and tell it to open with WinRar, then you can extract the .iso from the files.
Do not ask me why people insist on splitting the files up, because I have absolutely no idea.

I installed v1.0.0.0 (b80) of this game from another torrent on TPB. If you try and patch to 1.0.0.5 using the games auto-updater or dlding the patch manually you get
"patch is in different language to installed game, installer will now quit"

@ JackTheLad everone is new once. you need to crack the program to run without doing a cd/dvd check. Do this by moving the crack into the installation directory. The .nfo or read me included should tell you where the crack is. if there is no crack included then go to Game Copy World. type in the name of the game in the search bar on the right side. find your game in the search results and click it. then click on your version of the game. download the file and unzip/unrar it. right click and "cut" the cracked file. go to your installation directory and paste the file. it should ask you to overwrite. if it doesnt ask you to overwrite then you put it in the wrong folder. if it does ask then say yes to overwrite and that it. go to your desktop and start the game.

2. burn or mount the image
3. Install
4. open "My Computer"
5. Right Click the World In Conflict Disc, select open
6. Open the Fairlight folder
7. COPY the 3 files
8. Paste the files in "C:\Program Files\Sierra Entertainment\World in Conflict" replace the files
9. You are now able to play the game.

Guys if you get the problem "Need orginal CD" then you copyed the crack in the wrong folder. When you install the game it also makes another folder in C:\Program files\Seria Entertrainment\World in COnflict. Copy the crack there. NOT where you extracted it. I first had this problem in crysis. But happy to help.

1. extract the ISO file from the files u downloaded with WinRAR.
2. mount the ISO file with Daemon tools or whatever you use.
3.install the game to a folder of your choice.
4."explore" the (fake) cd and go to the fairlight folder.
5 copy the "wic" file and paste it in the folder in witch you have installed the game.
6. play.

The game installed perfectly, starts up as it should be but then i can't start playing. First it won't let me start a new campaign. So i just figured that i should be doing the tutorial before i can do campaign. But the tutorial wouldn't work either, it just loads and says "press any key to start" and then i see a black screen with the mouse cursor only and some background music.

For people that are still having trouble installing, even after Minhdlu's post, you may have made the same mistake as me. (changed the flt-wic.001 to a winrar file)
To correct this problem, click the tools tab and go into "Folder Options..." once here, click on the "View" tab and then scroll down to the very bottom, here, you should find "Hide extensions for known file types" box, untick this.
Once you have done this go back to the folder that flt-wic.001 is located in, right click it and make sure the name is ONLY "fly-wic.001" and that there isn't a .rar extension on the end of it.
Once you have done that right click the file, open it with Winrar archive and just extract the file, it should extract correctly now.
Hope this works

for those of you that say xp is better than vista, or vista is better than xp:
-vista runs games slightly better
-xp is more compatible with stuff (unless right click>properties>compatibility>run as windows xp sp2 mode)
-xp does slow down after about 6 months of use(reinstall every six months fixes)
-updates on vista can make it take up to 30 minutes to boot.
-there are less virusses for vista
-in xp it is almost required to have a virus scanner(AVG free is good)
-in vista, your hard disks just randomly fill up with stuff (not programs, just "stuff")

Ahhh finaly its downloaded and works!
What you need to do is open my computer whilst the image is mounted. Then right click on the World In Conflict icon and press exsplore then find the fold named "Fairlight". Once you have found that then compy and past the .exe files into the World In Conflict directory! Done!
P.S. make shore the you overwright the original .exe files!
Oh and i couldent find any viruses.

Figured out a few things.
1. Seems to me that you MUST use winrar to extract the iso. Tried with 7Z and everything was corrupted and didn't install correctly.
2.Mount with daemon tools, because it also seems to be the only tool that is doing the job, dont know why.

To everyone:
1. Download the file.
2. Run Winrar program and then using the Winrar program, locate the .001 file. Click on that one. This should give you an ISO image.
3. Now virtually mount that ISO image using PowerISO. Run the virtual drive containing that ISO image
4. Install.
5. Get the crack from FairLight and simply install that one to the directory. It's inside the program file that game is installed to.
6. This will allow the game to run without the security check/disk check.
7. Enjoy.

unpack the game using winrar but since it is an iso file u mount it for the game to run.......
download crack files individually......... before u replace original files create a copy folder of the game using winrar.......................
make sure u install the game before u use the crack files or else campaign wont work .............once u have finished the instilation replace the original .exe files with your cracked files(the cracked files are to bypass the securerom problem)

When extraction is complete, double click the rar-archive. When this exctraction is complete, go into the uncompressed game folder an setup the game..... When installation is complete, goto the uncompressed game folder and find "Fairlight" folder. Copy the 3 files from this crack folder to the installation folder and overwrite the 3 files with identical names to the 3 crack files. After you have done this you are ready to run the game (double click the game launch icon on your desktop).... Enjoy! :-)

kkk this is confusing. i just finish downloading from utorrunt and i opened "opened containing folders" and i see the iso file and the [ flt-wic.001 - flt-wic.08 ]. ok now i try to mount the iso file stright up from the folder i downlaoded but nothing pops up????????
not even the install meneu. i see some comments so i extracted the flt-wic.001 then another folder pops up and i see another flt-wic iso file and a flt-wic folder containing bin,directx,fairligthldata,support, and ect. after that i tried to mount the flt-wwic iso file from the one i extracted ( flt-wic.001 ). then finaly the game meneu pops up with PLAY INSTALL UNISTALL ECT and when i clic install a small squar box pops up and dissapear and nothing happens... nothing installs...
soo i wonder if anyone can help me out T.T
it would be cool if someone did xD if not then i guess i just wasted my weekend >.<

1) you duble click on the first file (...001 etc.) and winrar should open
1a) if not, "rightclick", "open with", "choose winrar", and clikc "ok"
2) when it opens, click once on the image file (.iso) and click "extract too" and then choose the place were you want it to be
3) fire up daemon tools or similar, "rightclick" on the little daemon tools icon (noramlly a red or green icon), choose "viritual cd/dvd rom", then click on one of the fake dvd roms, "mount image" and locate the image file
4) go to "my computer", "rightclick" the the "WIC" icon on the fake dvd, click "explore" adn locate "setup.exe" adn duble click on it
5) there you go, have fun playing this awesome game :)
5a) good luck, and if the setup don't respond (a black cmd-themed thing pops-up, but dissapers again, move the image file (where you EXTRACTED IT) to another location, and then repeat the procedure from 3)

This hacked version works perfectly for me (WinXP). Here is how to get it to work (or at least, how I did it and had absolutely no problems).
To Unrar:
Get WinRAR if you don't have it already. Go to their site to download a free trial version (http://www.rarlab.com/), or find a cracked copy here at TPB (oddly enough, most cracked copies are RAR'd, meaning you need WinRAR to unRAR the cracked WinRAR...so you may need the trial version just to unarchive the cracked version if you can't find an .exe version to start with).
1) Unrar by RIGHT CLICKING "flt-wic.001".
1a) then select "Open With..." and navigate to "WinRAR Archiver".
1b) It will proceed to unRAR just fine. I use WinRAR 3.70 beta.
2) Mount the created .iso file with Daemon Tools. I use v4.08HE, it works just fine.

3) The games "Install" option will pop up in its menu. You can try to install this way, but if it doesn't work, just open "My Computer", go to the mounted drive, and "Explore". Click the "Setup.exe." file to get started installing.
4) Go to "My Computer" and select the mounted drive, and open it with "Explore".
5) Open the "Fairlight" folder.
6) Copy the 3 files (wic.exe, wic_online.exe, wic_ds.exe) into the newly installed game folder "C:\Program Files\Sierra Entertainment\World in Conflict" (these files are the hacked files you need to run the game)
7) Click the hacked "wic.exe" file you just copied.
8) Have fun stompin' Russkies!

I have sort of a problem ... when I try to start the game, it goes black like that, and then after about 3 seconds of black screen it just automatically goes back to the desktop and nothing more happens, so .. does anyone know what might be wrong?

The reason they put it this way is to shorten the size of each individual file.
Its alot easier to download a bunch of smaller files then to download one large one.

Can I get some help please? I try to run the setup and every time I run it a command prompt pops up and then disappears in around a second and I have run it in both regular and in administrator and it still doesn't work.

Could someone give me an idea on how to fix my issue please? I open the torrent's folder and right click the file "flt-wic.001" and extract the files to my desktop. I than mount what now appears on my desktop "flt-wic.iso" with DaemonPro. I than get an autoplay option box on screen that allows me to choose either to open folder to view files or install or run the file "Run Autorun.exe" and the green World in Conflict icon is to the left of the autorun option. I click the autorun option and the World in Conflict install screen appears. Copy all DVD contents of the game into a folder on your hard drive and run the installation from that location (if you receive and overwrite prompt select Yes to all). See below for instructions:

-Name the folder, and then press ENTER.
-Double-click on the folder that you just created.

SFV files are verification files that match the hash of the files to its internal hashes and determines if they are corrupt or not.
the .### files are rar files split into multiple files open one of them with winrar and extract the file inside and you get your .ISO

I had some problems unraring these files. When i tried to unrar the first file it kept asking me for second file. Strange.... If you have similiar problems, press the browse button and find it manually. Extract the files to the desktop and use alcohol or similiar program. Install it and copy the 3 files in the fairlight catalog. Paste it in the original sierra file. Works Great! Thanks alot!

This hacked version works perfectly for me (WinXP). Here is how to get it to work (or at least, how I did it and had absolutely no problems).
To Unrar:
Get WinRAR if you don't have it already. Go to their site to download a free trial version (http://www.rarlab.com/), or find a cracked copy here at TPB (oddly enough, most cracked copies are RAR'd, meaning you need WinRAR to unRAR the cracked WinRAR...so you may need the trial version just to unarchive the cracked version if you can't find an .exe version to start with).
1) Unrar by RIGHT CLICKING "flt-wic.001".
1a) then select "Open With..." and navigate to "WinRAR Archiver".
1b) It will proceed to unRAR just fine. I use WinRAR 3.70 beta.
2) Mount the created .iso file with Daemon Tools. I use v4.08HE, it works just fine.

3) The games "Install" option will pop up in its menu. You can try to install this way, but if it doesn't work, just open "My Computer", go to the mounted drive, and "Explore". Click the "Setup.exe." file to get started installing.
4) Go to "My Computer" and select the mounted drive, and open it with "Explore".
5) Open the "Fairlight" folder.
6) Copy the 3 files (wic.exe, wic_online.exe, wic_ds.exe) into the newly installed game folder "C:Program FilesSierra EntertainmentWorld in Conflict" (these files are the hacked files you need to run the game)
7) Click the hacked "wic.exe" file you just copied.
8) Have fun stompin' Russkies!
